Family Housing

Housing for institute participants and their families is available on campus in dorms within easy walking distance to the Braun Music Center. Families staying in the dorm enjoy the stress free institute experience with more time to relax, let go of the demands of their everyday life, and focus on their musical learning adventure.  Since Institute families are placed in the same building, students and their families are able to connect with others families.  We often have the building for our program only, if not we share with other children's programs.

Rooms have one or two beds depending on the number of participants registered.  Parents will be placed in the same room with their child.  There are a limited number of rooms with three or more beds are available.  Reserve these rooms by selecting "Additional child" during check-out.  Bathrooms with showers are located on every floor.  Bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, soap and cups are provided with every room. Arrangements can be made for extra nights stay at an additional daily fee. Meals are not included.

The conference meals are delicious and fit most culinary needs. Beyond the entrees, a wide variety of salads, breads, proteins, vegetables, drinks, and desserts are included.  Food allergies and dietary restrictions (such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and nut allergies) are accommodated and can be indicated on the registration form.

Teen Dorm

The teen dorm is a fun way for students to connect with other students from around the country and world who have the same musical interests. The teen dorm program is for students ages 12 and up who would like to stay on campus without their parents. Counselors will assist students throughout the week by monitoring their safety and participation in classes, meals, and evening concerts and fun activities.  Our head counselor, Ms. Debbie, has been with us for over 10 years and is a 5th grade public school teacher. Our other counselor(s) are also experienced teachers.

Connecting with other students is a great way to add some extra fun and stimulate motivation that will last for the entire year.  Limit: 29 students.
