on the campus of Stanford University

Please click here for a digital copy of last year's institute.

Students in the Advanced Program/Virtuosi Program receive master classes, technique class, repertoire class, orchestra, and can choose from a variety of enrichment class(es) to take. Students may also enroll in the chamber music program where they receive daily coaching and perform at the end of the week.

Younger siblings of advanced students in books 2-3 (violin and viola) can also attend our Young Siblings Program.  These students have their own program organized for their particular level with master classes, large group, and a fun and motivational experience with the Dalcroze Music & Movement class.

The Advanced Suzuki Institute offers violinists and violists in Book 4 - 10++ and cello Book 3 - 10++ the chance to learn in a supportive and stimulating environment surrounded by motivated and engaged students their own age and level. Throughout the 5 days on the lovely Stanford University(Bay Area) campus students explore music through the diverse and in depth curriculum, have the opportunity to attend recitals of their peers, and enjoy evening performances by guest artists.

The Advanced Suzuki Insitute offers a Teen Dorm experience for students age 12 and above.  Students experience campus dorm life under counselor supervision.

On-campus family housing and commuter meal plans are also available.

ASI is pleased to offer one day (Sunday) and full week teacher trainings and observations.
